i would like to take this opprotunity to show some love to all my REAL friends. the people i interact with on a daily basis. the type of people i can laugh and joke around with, share ideas with, engage in discussions on any number of topics, from how good the wizards are playing right now, to the new darkest hour album and how much it kicks ass, from the commercialization of modern culture, to real world examples of probability theory and standard deviation. the type of people who always understand my inside jokes, my bizarre references to obscure british tv shows and underground grind bands. the type of people that put up with my incessant quoting of movie lines and then asking "know what that was from?". the type of people who DO know where that was from and will tell me, and then tell me that that movie sucked, and then have a 45 minute discussion about why it sucked, and which movie is a better example of the themes illustrated in it. in short, they are the people who are there for me.

they are NOT people who need to be complimented constantly in order to validate our friendship. they are NOT people who crave my interest in them, but then show no interest in me in return. they are NOT people who i have absolutely nothing in common with.

so, kenny, robert, gary, bob, and gary blue, i will raise this beer in your honor! thank you for the friendship!
