*deep breath* What the fuck is it with religious people? Every fucking one of them preaches tolerance, and acceptance, forgiveness and love, but very few practices it. Fucking hypocrites. I'm a heretic, and by far more tolerant of anyone else belief, whatever they be in, than any GOD fearing individual I have ever met. Have your faith, it's your right as far as I am concerned, but don't 1 throw it in my face or 2 look down your self righteous nose at me. As some of you may notice, I have elected Zombie Jesus as my symbol for the commercialized religious holiday of Easter.
Now I also used it on my Facebook, to mixed reviews. I don't mind offending somebody, in fact I have resigned myself long ago that I will eventually rub you the wrong way at least once. I say what I think, and have a very slow brain to mouth filter. Anyway, so this guy on my friends list actually expresses his objections. REALLY? To a picture? No rhetoric, or demeaning slogan, a simple pic. Wow. Grow a fucking sac. I put a picture of a waxed vagina with a child's soother in it up and he gives me the thumbs high, but saying that Jesus rose from the dead and subsequently by definition qualifies as a zombie, is offending? Fuck you, Not him specifically, the whole fucking lot of them that brainwash their children to blindly follow this shit, and feel they go blind if they touch themselves, but it's okay to let the priest do it.
I wonder where I heard that rumor, that Jesus walked after death, OH that's right it's in the fucking bible. That little fucking book that they grip tightly over their eyes. Why is it when he does it, it's a miracle worthy of an entire religion. BUT didn't that same religion use that belief to murder how many women during the dark ages for using medicinal herbs, or having the nerve to survive drowning? Nice test of faith, we drown you, if you die you were okay, if you live, you were possessed so we burn you then cut your head off.
How the fuck does that not set some sort of logic alarm off? Good thing Jesus was killed when he was, because if he pulled that stunt in Salem, he'd have been stoned to death. Incredibly dogmatic, judgmental people piss me off as well. Unfortunately, they're a lot more vocal than the sanely religious people. I'm not religious myself, but I have religious friends who are equally offended by the people you're talking about. They make other religious people look bad. Actually, they make humanity look bad.
