I wouldn't say my ex is a "safe" option, nor that he's the only option. He's not my most recent ex, and I just started dating a different person... but that's pretty much what I do. I practice martial arts with this ex, so it's hard to lose the attraction when you're throwing each other on the ground and stuff.
