Hello all!

Well, I don't know if anyone cares, but what the hell. In the time since I was last on here regularly (in mid 2014), quite a few things have changed.

As some of you may know, I previously worked at Walmart. In August, I was offered a new position at a T-Mobile store. It offered better pay and I'd be working less hours. I started that position on September 1st. I was a manager of sorts in charge of store inventory and maintaining the files and daily paperwork. A few weeks after I started, my car broke down. After just paying for a new battery, the timing belt broke. I didn't have the money to get it fixed (about $2000 because it's a Volvo) so I have since been getting rides from my room mate, friends, and public transpo regularly. I've previously sunk thousands into that stupid car and I really don't want throw anything more into it.

In November, the company I work for, that owns the T-Mobile stores here, merged with another company. After the merger, my position was dissolved and if I wanted to stay with them I'd be moved to sales. Even though I don't see myself as a salesman at all (I hate asking people to pay for things they don't need or want) I gave it a shot. It's been going okay so far, but I'm still working on my sales pitch and how I relate to customers. Waiting for my first commission check to come in, so I can gauge how well I'm actually doing.

Confidence. The main characteristic I lack. Both as a salesman and in life. Exercising more regularly has helped some. All the walking I've been doing since I don't have a car is most of that exercise, but I've been doing push ups as well. :-P

I'm not sure if I'm going to get another car yet, or if I should for a while. I can walk pretty much anywhere now. There's a great local coffee shop a couple blocks away and its not too far to walk downtown to go to a bar, restaurant or theater. When my next paycheck arrives, I plan to get a bus pass so I could virtually go anywhere around town as I please (I've been paying for my fare each time, to and from work, until now).

Dating. Something I will try a bit more this year. That should help boost my confidence a bit. Getting laid would probably help as well... I'm 28 years old and have yet to be with anyone who's wanted an intimate relationship.
