What a great day. I had old friends coming out of the woodwork. I had not talked to them in months, and all of a sudden there they were, as happy to hear from me as I was to hear from them. At this point in time, I could not have hoped for a greater gift

What was particularly great was that I had lost touch with one of the people whom I genuinely love most in the world. I had been mad at her, and told her why. She reminded me why I care about her so much. She is truly one of the most beautiful people I know, and I am genuinely happy that things are beginning to go well for her. She struggled for a while, but would not tell anyone. I wish I had known to be there for her.

All of it made the hangover from the party much easier to bear.
