i feel like total shit today. pure, absolute, stanky, nasty shitty-shit-shit! my body feels absolutely exhausted, but my heart and my brain is racing.

i hate feeling out of control. i wish i could have control over my emotions and biological needs. i hate being hungry, or tired, or nervous, or sad. i want to be a happy robot.

i have mixed feelings about the new plaza...

on the one hand, it's good to have stores like ross and barnes and noble in that area (right next to a bart station...unlike the powell st. plaza in emeryville which never has any parking), and i dig the huge new albertson's...they really needed to do SOMETHING with that space, especially after capwell's left; but on the other hand, it's completely lost that hometown feel. like i said, i grew up in albany, and the plaza was where we always hung out at after school and on weekends (like at swenson's! mmmm...). it was such a local place. now it is just like any generic shopping center you'd find anywhere- there's no personality to it anymore, and you've got everyone and their mama coming there from all over the place. plus, they closed a lot of the old stores and put up 2 starbuck's (one of them is inside albertson's). they didn't close the stores that i cared most about, though- long's and silver screen video- and the melodee is still there!

i meant 'worse half' as a joke. i just sometimes playfully introduce him like that, instead of 'better half,' which is a term that always sounded ridiculous to me.

god- i really gotta get to bed!

i used to dj at KALX in berkeley, and occasionally i dj-ed at the ruby room in oakland; both of those were non-paying, and i'll probably start doing one or both of those again soon...

right now i dj occasionally for weddings, parties, etc., but for people who want a cooler alternative to your basic, cheesy wedding dj- like my friend Jesse's (formerly of Blatz, The G'rups, and the Criminals) punk rock wedding...

The only other dj's i know are mainly from KALX (though some of them have regular gigs at clubs in SF or Oakland)...
