despite the fact that there were more votes for prudence than there were for anne, this probably won't last. it really is so much easier using my real name. there's never that weird awkwardness when i'm introducing myself to someone on the site: 'hi, i'm anne...uh...prudence...' i prefer being called by my real name off the site, and there's none of that weird confusion.
besides, anne is me. i am anne.
although, for some reason, i think i was actually more popular as prudence. maybe b/c it's more interesting, or 'exotic' than the name anne? or maybe usernames add that sense of mystery that's attractive to some people. i dunno. or maybe b/c people liked saying ,'dear prudence...' to me. or, like meempants, they're too lazy to type 4 whole letters, and liked being able to shorten it to pru [i liked being called 'pru.' i thought it was cute. or when 37 called me 'prudester'

then, there's also the appeal of being able to hide behind a username...but, that's one of the reasons i wanted to be anne.
plus, i liked being at the top, or near the top, of people's friends lists!
