Went to Allerton Park today... totally beautiful paths through the woods with some pretty fuckin' eerie statues and sculptures in random clearings here and there. There was even a cemetery from the 1800s. Everyone buried there was younger than 30. Kinda creepy.

Anyway, here's a pic from the stroll through the woods. Way behind me is a really beautiful sculpture called Death of the Last Centaur.

i have one of those parks, i more or less live there in the summer, squirrel-watch, read. i think it helps if you live in the city, to have some place green to go to. keeps you sane. my park's way outside teh city too, so you don't even hear traffic there. it's lovely.
