So how was the weekend, yo?

Mine was excellent... a friend from Chicago drove down from Chicago and we went to see Mason Jennings on Friday night. Totally awesome. Mason Jennings is such a rockstar... I have the hugest crush on him. Sigh.

Yesterday I had emergency room duty from 3pm to 10pm. Pretty boring night... just one horse with a cut on his leg. Nothin exciting.

Today I slept forever then bought lots of halloween crafts. I know it is not very original of me, but I LOVE halloween. Fall is so exciting... the sun is so warm but the air is chilly and all the trees look so pretty. And the best part of fall is getting to wear hooded sweatshirts.

Anyway so at the craft store I bought stuff to teach myself to knit. I know, totally grandma of me, but i really want to learn. I've knitted about a 2 inch by 6 inch piece of purple stuff so far, which took me about all day. At this rate I'll have a scarf by 2007.

Anyway, I'm typing this on my boyfriends laptop which I hate, so I'm gonna jet.

hey there. how ya doing? how is school down there? so, as a full blown vet student type, do you get all into the football stuff that goes on down there? i sort of missed going to such a rinky dink state school - we never really had the big football culture that comes with fall ya know? i don't even LIKE football...but it looks so *fun* when you see the crazed fans on tv, and folks i know who went to U of I talk about game days like it was really a good time for all... true?
