I've been happy living here on my own for the past year. The roommate finally moved out - the only thing I really missed was the cat - but no so much that I would get one for myself...

Now one of her friends, who I got to know and hang out with on occasion, wants to move in.

I only allowed the old roommate to stay because she doesn't make much money and she really had no where else to go. She is 30 now and still works as a concession attendant at a movie theater. She tends to have younger friends. Time to move on and grow up... Maybe I was just enabling her to remain a child... but she finally found another place.

This girl is one of her younger friends. Just 24 years old and a stripper. She was living with her boyfriend but can't now because of issues on the lease. She only needs a place for 3 weeks right now because she is headed south for a few months, but is looking to make it permanent around December when she gets back. Again, I said OK - but only for these 3 weeks. She is pressing really hard to be able to come back. I hope her situation changes by then and she has a place... She is fun to hang out with, but I can't be drinking til 4:30am too often anymore. Plus I need to teach her to turn off the lights when she goes out or goes to sleep!
