OK. Today was goin sooo well. . . a brief synopsys
Went to sleep @ 3 AM
6:30 in the morn, junkllama calls Sintantrix lost, looking for directions. The phone and the heat kinda woke me up and i couldn't go back to sleep.
Get out of bed @ 6:50
Eat breakfast, get dressed.
Grab my bike and hit the road by 8AM
Road up Esplanade to City Park, and then around every paved surface in City Park at least once.
Then i continued up to Lake Ponchatrain and road along the coast for god knows how long till i got to a bridge where i could see the entire N.O. Skyline, including the short Superdome. Then i doubled back and came home.
At this time (almost 11 AM), Sintantrix is waking up and we go to Schiro's and eat. We look at some apartments (drive by) and then go to the Botanical Gardens in City Park. That was awesome.
We left, drove by some more apartments, and then had awesome food at Martinique Bistro. Tomato Basil bisque, Escargo, Crab Spinach Salad, Salmon.
We come home, park around the corner because Thursday is Street Cleaning and they tow in front of our house. We walk around the corner and get a few steps down the block when i realize theres a cop car in front of our place, and all the crackheads from the apartment downstairs are outside.
Long story short, they raided the apartment downstairs, then all the other apartments when they found a baby living there with no running water and crackheads.
The cops are going to petition for the building to become blighted. Some departments (health and safety?) are coming to look at the building tomorrow. Looks like we might need to be moving out sooner than we thought.
My roommate was home for this whole thing so she got locked out. Fortunately, when we saw the comotion we went to the bar to figure shit out. So, when we get the call from our friend brian who lives down the block we came home and i got us in. We're here for now. Cops keep driving by and checking the doors. 2 of the crackheads that got away came back and got the fuck in somehow. Dumbasses. More on this later.
