Wooohooo! 1/2 my shipment from Amazon came today. Earlier than it was supposed to come which is good. I ordered all of FNM's albums other than Angel Dust cuz i already have that one. I dont know why it took me this long to get all the others. I Also got Fresh out of the Past (By the New Orleans Klezmer Allstars), Catch 22 (Heller) and Slaughterhouse five (vonnegut).
Speaking of the NO Klezmer. . .I was telling my friend/advisor/proffessor Joe about my plans to drive around the country and he told me that he could hook me up with places to stay depending on where i go. When i told him Denver/Boulder and New Orleans were on the list he said, "Make sure you tell me if you're going to be there because i'll have my friend in Denver give you a place to stay for a bit. And while in NO i'll have the New Orleans Klezmer Allstars take you in. . . just dont drink anything they give you without asking what it is
" So that should be fun.
Saturday night was fun. Started out eating @ go (one of my favorite japanese restaraunts) on St. Marks. . .you know, where all the 'freaks' hang out? lol...rrrrrrright. Then we had to go to meet my friends who came up from philly at some club on the Bowery that their old friend worked the door at. So we tried to take a cab and walked down 3rd as we waited. But it was saturday night so there were no cabs free and we wound up gettin there by foot before a fucking cab stopped. I never run into this problem because i usually dont take cabs because i hate them, but whatever.
Oh, and if anyone tells you to go to a club on the Bowery called 'The Boulevard', dont go. In fact, i reccomend puching anyone who would suggest such a thing. I swear to god, it was the worst bridge & tunnel crowd dancing (kinda) to the worst music. The guy we were visiting who worked the door had never even been to this club and he works there. And what made it even funnier was there were people on a long line outside paying money to get in. Meanwhile we were let in ahead of everyone for free and we didnt even want to be there. So we left
Then we went up to the meat packing dist. to see what we could find over there. We wound up going to Hell for a few minutes cuz Justin is gay. . .but that was the most boring gay club ever. They werent even dancing.
So finally it was 3 am and they were all bored and were feeling kinda old. I was the baby of the group, everyone else was 30+ yrs old, so they were all depending on me for the good time cuz i'm the 'youngin' from NYC.'
So finally i was like fuckit, i'm not gonna take you to these fucking trendy ass places you're lookin for where we're only gonna have a mediocre time with a lame crowd...we're going to Arc, Danny Howells is spinning, Justin, you can dance there. They'll be youngins there, and some gay guys there, and probably some drugs, and they got a liquor license just for Sat night, so we can keep on drinking, and dancing all night and all will be well. And it was. They loved it, i loved it, and i got home at like 9 AM .. .WOOO
Friday night i went to go see GROOVERIDER play drums with his band. I went there with my Hunter S. book and found a nice couch to sit on and read and listened to the band kick ass (especially the drumming) and got a nice buzz on. People always look at me like i have 253 heads when i read in a bar, but whatever, it's just funny.

Hey, I remember you! That's so weird. Are you a member of SGNY? If not, you should join, and then come out and play with us. And bring Bianca, she is sooo adorable!
