OK, so the TV in my room isn't attached to cable, and doesnt have an antenna so it only gets one channel. That channel is NJN (a PBS station). Well, theres also a lot of shows that i get from BBC which have been blowing my mind because the shows they write over there are the craziest fucking tv shows!
I've been watching Monarch of the Glen, Coupling, this other show with these alien superheroes one's from NY and the other runs an alternative health store or something, and Father Ted which is absolutely obsurd, i cant even begin to explain....and then i think about how stupid regular american tv can be.

To get the best results out of a pick-up for upright, especially in high volume situations demanded more and more in various projects, the best thing to do is to combine a condensing pick-up and a mike:
the Underwood pick-up

is simply the best I've found so far, giving great sound either on it's own or in combination with a mike. It gives you the full prescence, bottom and body of the bass with little or no feedback. if you have a good head that can mix p/u+mike (Acoustic Image amps)

are excellent in mixing your sound to exactly where you need it) then add a mike (Shure beta 57a)

for the high end and a touch of real acoustic color, and you're good to go!!
