It seems like even football is against me now. Let's run through these remaining playoff teams as i ruminate on whom to cheer for, shall we?
Washington Redskins
NFC East rivals of the NY Giants. I think not.
Seattle Seahawks
Ok, so they're from Seattle, which is the closest thing i have to a hometown team here in Portland. But, the way the Giants lost to them in OT was ugly. But i've been watching them over the past few seasons get stronger and stronger as a team, completely under the radar. Where once it was, "Seahawks are a given for NFC West champs, and then a given for first round defeat;" all of a sudden it's, "Oh Shit! The fucking Seahawks, where did they come from?"
Then again, they're the Seahawks. And maybe i should also be a little bit bitter about Shaun Alexander beating out Tiki Barber for the MVP. I dunno.

I dont know about them. As a former-psuedo-Raiders fan (back before they all needed walkers, and Rice was on the team, and when a deciding factor for their games was "How many players are in jail this week"), i should be anti-Broncos. I coulnd't care less about the Black and Silver right now (because they suck and i hate warren sapp), so i don't disslike the Bronco's nearly as much.
They are playing the Pats, so i'll definitely be rooting for them at least that one game. And maybe i should just root for the team that takes out the Pats.
But they're the Broncos. They don't have any standout players that i feel strongly for or against. They're just the Broncos.
Pittsburg Steelers
Again. Meh... Not exactly a fan or a hater of the Steelers. I often find myself rooting for them in some capacity, i dont know why. I like their use of trick plays. That must be the 'exitement' factor college football fans tell me about, except in a Pro Setting with Pro Players, executing the plays professionally without the whole "Chinese Firedrill" mayhem of college ball that I hate so much. I like that they have their logo on only 1 side of their helmet. I like Antwaan Randle-El because he's always involved in the trick plays, and because his name is so crazy, and because he's a great Special Teams force. I'm down with Big Ben because i like bruiser QBs. I'm sick of pansey QBs who get babied and slide foot first. Fuck that. You're a football player. Get in there and play. (I know, QBs and Pitchers are expeinsive and hard to come by...hence, his thumb being a problem.)
But they totally let me down last year by NOT beating the Pats. And i was pullin for the Bengals last week (i dont know why)
Indiannapollis Colts
What? You mean they're not in Baltimore any more? Ok, joking aside, i'm so fucking torn.
Not a Colts fan in the least. Big Manning fan. Big Dungy fan. Think Manning-Harrison is one of the passing duos that will go down in history like Montana-Rice. Think it's great being able to watch that. Think it would be great to see them win after Dungy's son kicked the bucket. (Did they ever say why he died?) Would love for Manning to get his ring so that all the nay-sayers will shut up. Love a lot of the individuals on the team.
Not a big fan of the team. And they come from the same city as the Pacers. I HATE THE PACERS. I HATE REGGIE MILLER. And that big race they have there every year has become a faint flickering candle of the huge SpotLight Sporting event it once was. And they play in a Dome. I hate Domes and i Hate Turf. It's football you pussies. Fans, put on some extra fucking layers. Players, get out there and play. If i wanted to watch football inside, i'd play more PS2. Turf is terrible. It's ugly, it plays like moon-shoes, it's bad for the players, and it's fucking turf. And a Cieling? What the fuck? This is FOOTBALL. You don't see the Packers running and hiding inside up at Lambeau? No! They play in the cold, rain, snow, whatever. Remember the Ice Bowl? Have you been to a game @ the Meadowlands? Fuck, with all the games they play in October, the Yankees play through worse weather than Dome Teams. And they play Baseball

They destroyed the Giants. Bad. They have Jim Fox. Good. They didn't beat the Pats in the Superbowl that one time. Bad. They don't have any players that i feel strongly for or against either.
Chicago Bears
Chicago, 2nd Best Pizza in the world
And good pizza is fucking important to me as a New Yorker, a Pizza Lover, and a Snob (of which, i'm all 3).
HUGE Defensive team. I love big smashmouth Ds. But are they relying too much on their D? D wins you championships, but Offense wins you games. Or are we not giving the the O the credit it deserves? And as a Giants fan, i get this strange feeling of betrayal rooting for da BearSS.
Did you know the Fridge works construction now? I seen him layin bricks you know? And fishing. He likes fishing for little tiny bluegills, crappie, and sunnies in a pond behind his house.
So those are my choices. I'd like to decide before the games start today. But, maybe i should wait to see the outcome of this weeks games to avoid further frustration. I'm open to suggestions.

and yeah, the piercing thing is dumb. i'm not heavily modified at ALL. i have a lebret piercing, and seven in my ears. that's it. shit. and i have a super-small stud in my lebret now that you can barely even see.
i understand the not wanting to be forced to lie to get a shitty job. i feel the same way about taking out my jewelry- like, it shouldn't fucking matter for minimum wage, right? fuck. although 7.50 is more than i'll be making. i'm sure the costs of living over there are a tad bit higher, though.
