Ok, i dont get it.

I just watched Napoleon Dynamite. Almost every single person i know has yelled at me when they found out i hadn't seen it. Everyone has sworn up and down that this is the funniest movie they've ever seen.

So i watched it.

It was funny. I like deadpan stupidish humor. It was funny. I enjoyed it. It was funny.

It wasn't that funny.

I mean, i laughed. I enjoyed the film. I wouldn't tell someone not to watch the film. But, i wouldn't necessarily say it's a 'Must See' movie as i was told. I'm not one of those people who thought it was just dumb or unfunny or bad. I just don't get what the obsession over it is.

I mean, compare it to the best Montey Python movie you've seen and i'd barely even put them in the same state, let alone in the same general level of funny. I'm almost ashamed to have mentioned them in the same sentence (and that's not a knock on Napoleon Dynamite. It's just how much funnier i think certain other movies are.)

So I ask you out there in SG Land. . .

-And if you're one of those people who thinks it's the funniest thing since a Cream Pie in the face, what am I missing? Or am i not missing anything and just dont think it's nearly as funny as you say? Or have you all just not seen really funny non stop side splitting comedy ever? Or what?
