i get the apartment to myself for a month. i haven't been solitary for quite some time now. i felt strange but really good when i woke up today. dreams were vivid and positive for a change. i went to 'work' and worked on mixing one of our songs and brainstorming about stuff....so many things on my mind at once now, i'm glad that for the first time in forever i can be where cascading walls of silence will reach me.

c'mon sunshine! it has been foggy and grey in the richmond for weeks now...it's so bizarre to think that in 2 months i will be in LA...where i will experience sun sun sun. i've lived through 26 winters and have never missed a one, until this summer. i can't say anything ill of SF, but there is no summer here...and i'm going to have my first warm winter...i like weird shit like that.

Bill Hicks talked mad shit about LA and was hilarious. he compared the summer-all-the-time thing to the vapidity of many of the folks there...there is no time to be cold and turn inward like i've always known in new england or canada, where i've spent all of my life. but i love sun and look forward to it! i feel i've earned it at this point.

i have my first solo trip with the magic manna mushrooms on wednesday this week on the new moon. virgo sun, moon and mercury...that should be insane. i'm still not sure where to go take it. maybe i'll climb twin peaks...i havent spent much time there ...
