i'm not on here much anymore. i keep an eye on my group, but that's about it lately.
life's been busy. i'm teaching an intensive reading intervention program, and the kids have been a challenge. they are very low, even for eighth graders, and keeping them engaged for a 2 hour block period is not easy.
speaking of engaged, i'm getting married!
the wedding has been planned for july. it's going to be under a tent in my parent's beach house backyard right next to the ocean. dress is casual. i am waring a simple, flowy dress, and the groom will be in a linen shirt, and linen drawstring pants. we will both be in flip-flops.
we are renting the beach house across the street, and spending the whole week celebrating. it's going to be a small gathering because of space limitations, but it's going to be a great party. our caterer is from a partially vegan restaurant, and they will be cooking a BBQ suitable for vegans and meat eaters alike. there is going to be three amazing gormet vegan burgers to choose from, a meat burger, hot dogs, salads, side dishes, corn on the cob, watermelon, raspberry lemon bars, and vegan cupcakes! if you can't tell, i'm pretty excited about the food.
we are planning to have a big party at the beach house we are renting with our friends after the reception. many of them will be bringing tents, and will spend the night with us camping out in the backyard.
i plan on spending the day swimming, drinking, eating, and having a blast with my closest friends and my new husband. i can't wait!
