Sitting here online and I really need to get moving. Felt rundown all week so I haven't been to the gym since Sunday. Of course, I have been out almost every night celebrating in one way or another.

The one thing that strikes me as I sit here is the change in the neighborhood. Looking out the window, I love the fact that so many...

Last night I met with friends for a 'book club'. We read an oldie: Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach. It deals with our notions of God and self and says everything is an illusion to be overcome. In my mind, it denies any actual reality. Maybe I see it as denying TRUTH. I think there is a perfection. Not many...

I fell out of love... it was as simple as that. He is still in love with me and although i love him... im just no longer in love with him. I stayed for a while trying to make myself fall in love... but when it came down to it i couldnt. I want head over heals love... i want it all... i think i deserve it... I was staying because it was comfortable and i didnt want to hurt him... but now... i think he deserves to be with someone who is in love with him... and i deserve to be with someone im in love with. I didnt cheat... i never would... thats not something i do... im very loyal and sweet... he had cheated before and i dealt with it because i had to. He was still very in love... i feel bad... he tells me im perfect.... heh.... im hardly that.

yes im a mess... good luck to the next guy, eh? lol.

So disappointing on the one hand, yet so great on the other. The big event I was looking forward to for my bday was seeing Type O Negative and going to Hell later. Most of my crowd are true geezers. I'm definitely a geezer by the numbers, but I still don't feel like one (or act like one). Of course, this now makes me wonder...

Wow, I thought me and my honey were the only ones still listening to Type O Negative! (We're in the deep south so there's no chance of a concert in our future)
I have slight band envy - no pics?

Looks like birthday season is here. My sister was supposed to come down from Boston today to take me out for my bday (I'm in the geezers group here!). We were supposed to go to Fire and Ice. Never ate there, but I've had drinks at the one in Harvard Square. Unfortunately, my brother in law is sick, so we have to re-schedule. Tomorrow...

Happy Birthday!!! biggrin

Yeah, it's not my kind of city. I couldn't take the heat in Boston, so I'm glad I'll be getting out of here before the summer.
Happy belated birthday!

St Paddy's Day....The gang was going to Newport for breakfast, then watch the parade - but the weather SUCKS ASS! Snowed yesterday, then rained all night (more on that later!) - was supposed to rain today, too. So no one is going to the parade. Tonight a friend's band (Alter Ego) is playing at Mardi Gras. They are opening for a band that is doing...

The bitter cold is supposed to be gone - for now. Winter wasn't that bad - but I wonder how much extra I spent for gas and electric lately?

Did some grocery shooping - time to stock up. I love getting a deal. Receipt says I got $153.91 worth of food for $93.64 - you know the deal, Buy one get one free or stuff...

shamefully enough i haven't been on the sam adams tour and it's literally a few streets down from me blush. but hooray for JP yes it's definitely a fun place to check out - the feeling and the general atmosphere is so unique...in my opinion anyways. there are definitely places to go like jp pond, the arboretum, etc but unfortunately those are best left for warm weather. there are AMAZING restaurants here though - centre st. is like good food heaven. also i live two houses down from james's gate which has been best of boston a few times for irish bars...they still have their big fireplace going this time of year and it's my favorite place to sit and feel all down home cozy. then there's the milky way which is lots of fun and has a retro bowling alley. jeez i could go on and on.
as much as i hate to say it though, for a day-long activity you'd probably be better off doing the duck tour - there's more to see that isn't weather-dependent. newbury st? eh i'd skip it unless you're wanting to do the shop and people-watch thing. but definitely keep jp in mind!

lol does that make me miss moneypenny??

Went to Boston today with my best friend, Elisa. Yeah, my best friend is a woman. I really don't know many people here, even though I've been here 6 years now.

Went to the Museum of Fine Arts to see an exhibit - "Fashion Show: Paris Collections 2006" I recently read "The Devil Wears Prada", so at least I knew lots of the designer names....

Wow - is Gail way ahead of me.... She already sees me as Mr. Right - the answer to her prayers: literally. She loves the way I listen to her and ask about her day/life/son. Last week, we filled in a few of the blanks about our pasts. I mentioned my college - studying to be a priest (yeah - why am I here now!)....

Thanks - You're right, I just needed to clear my head.
The meeting the son thing seems kinda strange, but everyone has their quirks. Maybe you should just have a talk with her. Kids are dating at 10 now?
propbos:
i don't think it's 'dating' at 10 - early stages of having a girlfriend. But I just don't see me getting to the point she is at. I just need to end it rather than let her think this has a chance of becoming something that it won't.

So I'm on my way over to see Gail. Not excited. I should be. That's a bad sign. She's all excited cuz her son is away and she has the place to herself. It'll be just the two of us. And I'm not excited. Probably cuz I know I have end this. Wish me luck. frown
lady_a:
thanxx! me too smile

did i miss something in your past postings on how you "have to end this"? i'm confused. or did you go into it knowing that was the deal
lady_a:
*edit*
oh wait i backed up on your postings and it looks like i did miss one before about her being Too Much Too Soon Girl. booo, that sucks

BB King was GREAT! Went with friends, since I had these plans before I met Gail. We car pooled from Providence to Foxwoods - 2 men / 2 women, just friends. I was talking about Gail - unsure of my feelings, or hers. Got BLASTED by one of the women. No clue of why. Thought she was disappointed that I'd sleep with someone without a...

Type O Negative is coming to Providence, on March 28th. I'll be there - just wonder if I can convince any of my friends to go?

Thank you - Glad you liked the pictures.

Sorry about your paper.

The morning is not off to a good start. Once again, the Sunday paper wasn't there. I have my routine: I grab the paper from the doorstep, put on some jazz and have breakfast. I don't read the whole thing - I go through some sections every morning, all week. ProJo changed their delivery routine last week and the new carrier doesn't put the paper...
