I think apathy is what the idealistic mistake for love. Apathy is ignoring the reasons why and dwelling in the realm of nothingness, in the realm of contrived ideals.

When you ignore or don't consider why you are directing emotions towards someone or something, those emotions have no value. You become apathetic to that person or thing, in that you don't have any real reason for projecting those emotions.

I think apathy and numbness are very similar. Their only difference is the path they choose towards emptiness. The first projects vacant emotions just to say one "cares" about something, the second projects no emotions at all. I condemn both paths, but at least the second path is honest about it's final goal... nothingness.

The finest teachers of apathy in the world: Christianity and western civilization.

the point i'm making is that i'm NOT apathetic. i used to fqancy myself being so, but anymore, i'm anything but. i cathc myself being moved by the smallest things. and ask bEe, i've let emotions get the best of me quite often lately. it's just a new feeling... something that might take me a little while to get a grip on.
