I am constantly surprised by the ignorance in the people around me. Or at least the dumbass reactions people have to certain things.
Example for tonight: There's a girl I've been friends with for almost 5 years, and in the last 9 months, we've started talking more and more and venting to each other constantly, and becoming better friends... or so I thought. I came to the realization this evening that I hadn't seen her online, or on some of my social networking sites for a few days... ever since I told off her long time ex boyfriend's new girlfriend. The new girlfriend had apparently moved in with the guy and rummaged through the stuff that my friend had left with him, etc, and had starting trying to 'befriend' all of my friend's contacts online, on stuff like myspace, facebook, etc. So... I check facebook, and she's no longer listed as my friend... nor on my twitter feed... and not showing up on AIM/iChat... soooo I do some intartube style detective work... and wouldn't you know it... I'm blocked.
So i'm sitting here with a confused look on my face... thinking 'What the fuck?'
I know this is just silly internet drama, but like I said... this was someone who I've know for a long time who I thought was a good friend. I guess I'm just surprised by how much you can NOT know someone... or that they can hide themselves from you. But then again, information exchanged online can only be absorbed in a certain way, and there's a lot of room for interpretation and deception.
Oh well. Not my problem.
