Is anyone interested in a adorable dog????? My friend William is desperate to find a home for his baby named Oliver. His landlord is going to evict him if he doesn't find a home for Oliver by Sunday Jan 20th. If you or anyone you know (in the Bay Area or willing to come pick up the dog if you live elsewhere) wants a dog, he is the sweetest thing!!!! I am going to repost William's message here. Having worked directly with Oliver in the veterinary setting, I can vouch for him as a well behaved, sweet boy. He is fine during vet visits including when he is in pain. I have NEVER seen him get aggressive or mean including around small kids.

Ok kids, I'm running out of time and I'm getting desperate. I need to find a home for Oliver in less than a week or I'm getting kicked out. I would move if I could afford to, but I'm fucking broke. He is way too awesome of a dog to go to the pound and get put down. PLEASE help me find him a good foster, or permanent home before it is too late! My dog is my son, it breaks my heart to do this but I have few other reasonable, or feasible, options.
Oliver is a healthy 6 year old, neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit-bull. He is roughly 65Lbs, micro-chipped and current on his shots. He is reddish/brown in color, with white markings on face, chest and font paws. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He's well housebroken and will go to the door and tell you when he needs to go to the bathroom. If left alone he tends to scratch at the door, so an outdoor enclosure is best if he is to be left alone. He is well trained an knows all the basic commands, save "heel". He's an energetic guy and an excellent guard dog. He can adapt to new larger dogs and has spent the majority of his life with other large dogs. Smaller dogs and cats aren't a good idea, as he sees them as food items. He is good with children of all ages. My current roommate has a 2+1/2 year old daughter and we have NEVER had any reasons for concern with the two of them together. If he starts getting too rough at any point, an open hand directly facing him in the "stop" position and a firm "no" is most often met with lots of licking. As is the command "attack", when said in close proximity to his face. As a small child, I was attacked by a black lab while the dog was eating. Because of this I've pestered and conditioned Oliver against food aggression.
I've put mountains of energy into doing everything I can to make my dog the animal which changes people's opinions of his breed.
PLEASE help me find him an awesome new home for him. If you know anyone who can possibly take him, please contact me ASAP since I only have until January 20th.
