I had the best time yesterday.
I went, I saw and I revelled in the gayness and the beauty.
I hung out with GlassHeart and BellJar and they were totally cute and awesome. And we also saw Maddigan and Cate for awhile in the park before losing them at the start of the march. I got to see my gay boys from university in all their loveliness. I got my ass grabbed by 4 times walking from Pink Party to Muni. There was one girl in a cute beanie that grabbed me and made me want to turn around and walk over and kiss her on the spot. Too bad I am a big chicken.
But it made me happy to be grabbed. Being in SF made me wish I lived closer to the city and all the cool people I know there.
But most of all, it made me feel so blessed and happy that I live in such a place where my friends and myself can be safer walking the streets and expressing our love and affections the same way heterosexual couples do around the world. I love no one looking twice because I am holding hands with a girl or my best friend is kissing his partner. I have been to places in the states where I wouldn't have that freedom and safety and it makes me sad. But it makes me count my blessings for the liberal hippie state I call home.
Today I get to spend time with GoWings. I am FINALLY going to get to go see Pirates of the Carribean and then we are getting dressy and going to dine in style and sinful taste at Zin
