1. the study of the mechanics of body movements.

I received a four year Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2009 from Temple University, Philadelphia PA. My whole life I have had a fascination with the human body (obviously!) and a desire to help and heal those around me. During college, I worked part time as an anatomy tutor for the university's science department. I also instructed fitness classes at the student recreation center. I hold certifications in Mat & Apparatus Pilates, Barre, Vinyasa Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage. My dream is to someday attend school for ROLFing, a myofascial release / massage technique!

(I had big dreams of helping others until I myself got sick and had a devastating spine operation in 2012. I am mostly unable to practice the physical aspects of my field now - but the knowledge that I gained has been invaluable for healing myself and encouraging the ones I love to lead more active, holistic lifestyles.)
