Well, seeing that I have been couped up inside my house for damn near 3 weeks straight, I figured I'd let myself be kidnapped by some family members & go to our area's fair.
It was the lamest it has ever been...
Hardly any vendors, the consessions were pretty decent, and the midway.... I'm not even gonna start on that.
thus the reason I'm beating up the mascot of whatever it is..... I was seriously that bored.
I should start up a website "mascotfights.com" kinda like bumfights, but more Bull Durham-ish, I don't know... I'm high on Vicodin, so I'm rambling on.....
Well, now for some good news.....
I went out with my friend Shawn & his brother Ryan last night for Shawn's 26's birthday.
Ryan as in Ryan Caslte, Assistant Program Director of KISW.... he's worked in major radio markets such as Minneapolis/St. Paul, Miami, and now Seattle.
I've been begging Ryan to hire me, even if it was 5 hours a week.
He told me that he NEEDS part time help. But, he doesn't want someone to come in & go home... basically someone that's there just for a paycheck.
We talked a bit about my passion for the radio business, and he told me to send in a package (resume, references, and a demo of my work), so that's a BIG positive right now....
Just need to let Clear Channel let me in to get some of my archived stuff... heh
This one girl that I've been seeing for a week might not be happy about it, but that's another story for another time.
So, cross your fingers, and hope that I get this gig, as well as a second job & a room mate over in Seattle.
I got a call from Fred Meyer on Saturday afternoon, the assistant grocery manager told me that I was on the schedule for this coming week.
I remeinded him that I was not supposed to return to full duty until the 3rd, and that the grocery manager knew that.
So, I'm expecting a phone call soon with him yelling at me.
Thank God I ran into Ryan, hopefully this will pan out.
