That's where I am right now. I'm not sure exactly what needs to shift first but I know that most of what is giving me grief has its roots firmly planted in me and not some outside influence (my waning self-worth, my depression, my declining health, my chronic destruction of my social life).

As far as the less tangible one(s), I'd say never acknowledging one's shortcomings and continuing to fuck up without ever having a chance at bettering oneself might sound more appealing, but it also is probably not.
