I'll know next week for sure but it looks like we've got a house. It's a huge old house in the Hawthorne district of Portland. I'm so excited.
I knew we had found the perfect place before I even saw it because this is right up the street.
I can hardly contain my excitement. I can't wait to skate with these bitches, and to be able to trade in books at Powell's all the time and go to lots of shows and finally have a house big enough for lots of friends and guests. And it's in a great school district and we're allowed to get a dog.
And it's walkable like a motherfucker.
Seriously, just squee!
And we would have never been able to find it if we didn't have such amazing friends in Portland and elsewhere in Oregon supporting us, letting us crash on their couches and floors and feeding us. I am so lucky.

As for Mexican places I am very picky about where I'll go. In a town I don't know anyone in though it is a real crap shoot.
