We had fun.
What job in Albany are you looking at?? They have great schools here......about 20 times better than Hawaii. Cost of living is much better than Portland. Is it boring? Well, there's not as much to do as Portland, but it's only an hour away, and 45 minutes from Eugene. I think Southern Oregon and Hawaii are WAY more boring. So, i guess it depends on what you are compairing it too? Also, i'm here and i am not boring.
