So Rob's friend from work and his girlfriend are expecting a baby. This girl who's kind of extended ohana of the couple and works with Rob too is the one organizing the baby shower. She never told Rob about it and he only heard about it yesterday because he was at his boss' dropping off paperwork and his boss and another co-worker were talking about it.
Rob says we should just go anyway. I feel like it would be awkward. The thing is this guy has lunch with Rob all the time- sometimes I meet up with them to have lunch too, so I know he'd want Rob there. Maybe I'm being stupid. I hate last minute unvitations.
What else? Hmm.. I finally got to see
That's the best film ever made. If you don't believe me, just realize a snake latches on to a girl's boob in it. (I wish I knew how to rip movies onto clips to upload to youtube.
Wow. I just realized while finding that pic that they made a novelization of it. So funny. That must be one hell of a read.
The tsunami that we were keeping a watch for came in at 15 inches. Fucking Kurin Islands and their stupid earthquakes sloshing the ocean about.
Next time, send a real tsunami so I don't have to go down to work for a while. kthx.
There are a bunch of bigwigs coming from the mainland to check out Hawaii operations this week. Great. They can see how I am basically ineffectual since I don't have a building to work in or any technology to speak of. I'm still waiting to hear about my possible trip to the mainland for training. I registered for a two week course in Phoenix March 19th-30th. The thing is, there might be an issue with them letting me go since it's full-day training and I'm still part-time. We'll see.
If I go, I'd like to find a way to head out to LA for the weekend of March 24th/25th since there's not much point coming all the way back to Maui. I'll keep you posted. I guess there might be a couple of you who want to watch me get drunk in person.
