Well fuck. I definitely have to get a second job if we're going to make it here. I really only need to come up with an extra $500 a month. So if I find something for 10-15 hours a week even at $10/hr, that would do it. (At least until we have to pony up for our student loans and the inevitable car payment). Once this job goes full time I'll be in much better shape. Much.
It's not even the stress of the money that's bumming me out though- that's just life. What puts a frown on my face is that I feel alone in worrying about it. I do all the budgeting and bill paying and grocery shopping and I keep waiting for Mr. PRock to take a more active role. He's awesome about working his ass off to bring home a great paycheck and never spends money on himself. He's just not into doing the day to day work it takes to keep us financially healthy.
*sigh* Hey, what can you do, right? You just put one foot in front of the other and keep on walkin'. On the happy side of things I finally got a few garden tools the other day and weeding and pruning really made me happy. I forget how much of a difference fresh air and working with plants makes.
Tomorrow we're heading out to Jaws to watch the waves, then on to Lahaina side to chill at the beach. The swell is only like 11 feet which isn't huge for Peahi but I still want to head out to see how things are hopping. I hope sometime this winter we can catch some of the tow-in action.

fuck, if it weren't for Paul and his job we'd be worse off than what we are now. I fucking hate being broke off my ass and still working over 40 hrs a week with nothing to show for it.
But that's hawaii for you I guess. I heart you. We all really need to get together sometime.
