My neighbor brought by a huge surplus of basil from her garden last night. This morning I made a pot of basil simple syrup. 
Basil-lemon drop:
2 oz. basil simple syrup
3 oz. vodka
2 oz. lemon juice
I add water to my cocktail shaker to taste but I'm sure a lot of people would shudder at the thought. Do whatcha like.

The schools here suck but they are better then those in the LA area. The cost of housing still sucks even with the massive drop in the market.

Your plans sound a lot more fun than FedEx. It's odd how some jobs suck the life out of you, even if they're part-time. For example, one of mine= only 8 hrs. this week, but felt more grueling than my 20 of major physical labor. Funny how that is.

nope, not skating, just a big fan for now.
i was planning on trying out for next season, but work issues have put a damper on that idea, unfortunately. Alex and i have attended every bout this season together, so she calls me her derby wife.
