Fuckety fuck fuck fuck.

Turns out I misread the quote for shipping I had requested to get a ballpark of how much it would cost to send our stuff. I thought I had submitted a quote for 3 pallets, each 108 cu. ft. What I had really done was submit a quote for 3 packages totalling 108 cu. ft. frown So now our stuff is going...

ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Klamath Falls would be a horrible place to be for 2-3 years. Some people are saying it's not worth the wait, but I disagree!

That sucks about the extra 300 you have to pay to get your stuff frown

It's strange to me that I can miss you and your hubby - having only met you in person once.....

Nice. That's my main problem with any kind of skating. Bad ankles.

I used to have this friend who was a lot like me. Working class background, college education but mostly real world common sense. I miss comisserating with that guy about all the morons on this site and the world at large who come from upper middle class or higher socio-economic backgrounds and didn't spend anytime working in real jobs before going to school.

I wish...

The night before last my backyard fence was on fire. No, that's not a euphemism. The parents next door haven't been at home but the kids and teenagers have- with fireworks. I am certain if my mom hadn't rented this house and started watering the dead lawn and we hadn't have been here to wet down the fence and help put that fire out, half...

The cane trucks drive by night and day. It doesn't bother me. I lived on a busy thoroughfare with lots of retirees (read: ambulances) so I feel right at home. My mom moved from the quietest place you can imagine. Way up on the mountain, cold and quiet. The trucks drive her crazy. I love this house. I'm hoping if we can start making enough...

My remaining meager possessions can't get here fast enough. Moving is pretty stressful anyway. Moving into a big house with extended family and not having any of the things you're used to having around is even more stressful. Still, it's so awesome to be here. It's beautiful everyday, the papayas are ripe and delicious, the water is warm and my son is surrounded by family...

What helps me settle in? Probably my complacency. I'm too lazy to not feel at home. And like bibliachica said, fucking in every room. Yeah, that's a good one.

The PRock family is all here now. I'm completely exhausted from the moving ordeal but glad to be here. It was kind of a fun adventure reducing everything we owned to fit into a tiny Uhaul and taking it to get palletized and saran wrapped for shipping. Plus, the trip was much more tolerable since I ended up getting an ipod after all and sprung...

I'm feeling a little better now. My friend Jenny came by today and I got to hang out with her and her new baby all afternoon. We got some coffee, did some shopping, went to dinner and did some more shopping. It was really fun and I loved being able to hold and feed and interact with a baby again. *sigh*

Oh yeah, this morning,...

frown I guess if I want to avoid getting into arguments and crying every single day before I leave, I'd better not answer any calls from Hawaii.

I am really sick of hearing about how selfish and non "island culture" my kid is. Hearing that from family (people who should love him unconditionally) hurts a thousand times worse than the sickest direct insult to me personally....

I need a several margaritas. Cuervo + Orange Cognac + Mango margaritas. I don't know if I'm just stressed about all the stuff that I need to do to move or if it's just hormonal, because things are going pretty smoothly. I need to get the recipe just right this week though so I can have a pitcher available to keep me sane during the...

I think so. I'm hesitant to say yes, as these new problems stem from the three previous people handling my new claim poorly and I don't want to jinx matters. But for now, I'm calling it a nominal victory.

While I don't think the system actively works to make itself inaccessible, I suspect the powers that be would regard it's frustrating andf ornery nature as an unintended benifit. Furthermore, the australian welfare system is staffed orimarily not by socialworkers, but by people who were on welfare (and subsequently hate the welfare department).

I make it a point to avoid dealing with them whenever possible. It's not worth the regular five-hour disasters.

I dig the new layout. Some of it. What's this about not being able to edit posts after 15 minutes? How are we supposed to do "choose your own adventure" or other nonsense?

How's everyone been? It's good to be back. I feel safer about being on here now that my son is on Maui. I'll be there in 13...
