YES! We got a great house. It's not the first one I thought I wanted but it's even better. All hardwood floors, banana trees. It's so cute. We're starting to move in tomorrow.

Oh, and we're fine. We got shook up from the earthquake this morning but no one was hurt. Power was out for a few hours and the town of Hana way down...

Home sick from heat exhaustion. I told you the sun is trying to kill me.

Still looking for a house. I've found several that came close to what we want but one didn't have a bathtub (a must) and one had a teeny tiny livingroom that was really just an entryway. Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to look for a lot more. We've decided...

and fuck in the flames

There are days where I love living here. I love the people and the weather and the beach and I can't imagine being happy anywhere else.

Then there are days like today where the sun is trying to kill me, I hate every lazy laid back local and I can't imagine how I...

I was fucking obsessed with Facts in the 80's. I had a total hard-on for Blair. Of course now that she's like Miss 700 Club, not so much.

Son_of_PRock had a CAT scan and has a skull fracture. shocked frown The MRI came back clear- no brain bleed, no blood clots, no need to spend the night in the hospital. Now he just has two wait until he doesn't feel sick and then wait two more weeks after that before he can do anything active.

He's miserable not being able to skate. I've never seen...

I'll be home on Wed the 11th. Then it's back to work. And hoping I don't have to come out to Oklahoma until April. All the travel this year has worn me out. Almost 25,000 miles on United alone.

I'm home, I felt sick so they let me leave early. I was thinking of going to Wailea again or cleaning the apartment.

My son fell at the skatepark while trying to indy out of the 6 ft. bowl. He has a mild concussion and a cracked helmet. Last night was pretty unsettling as he kept asking all the same questions over and over. Now that he's had some rest, he's much better. He'll be laid up for a while though. I was a wreck last night but...

The most essential time travel precaution, though, is making sure you know how all your essential relatives looked at every point in their lives so that you can avoid them or, at the very least, do your damnedest to not make them fall in love with you/not have sex with them.

I know "Back to the Future" wouldn't have been very entertaining without that whole subplot, but I doubt it'd be as fun for anyone to experience themselves (and I'm no Michael J. Fox).

To be honest it's not based on anything other than that i used to be really fat. I spent three years in the advertising industry as a creative copywriter and commercials director. I left the industry because i hated the egos and politics but i love writing and directing commercials. From time to time i'll make viral ads for things i like or just cause an idea hits me - i don't do it for money only because i still enjoy making them. I think with youtube and the internet, ads can become a form of light entertainment as opposed to just a sales pitch. I'm just keeping myself sane at the expense of potential law suits.

Went to the monthly Maui poetry slam. It was a theme slam on the environment (the 'aina). Just like everything else here, it was tainted with a healthy dose of intellectual superiority and elitism, smelly hippie folk, but also a tremendous amount of genuine aloha and beauty of the human soul. If that sounds cheesy, too bad.

I can't wait until next month's slam. Given...
