So sad. My weekend is over. I hope my week will go by just as quickly!

Cassius and I went to see the DCI tournament. I had never been, so it was fun. We hung out with some of our K5K friends afterwards, but I was so tired. All I wanted to do is come home and go to bed.

I called a bunch of my friends back home today to catch up with them all. I miss 'em. At least they're all doing well.

I read a disturbing article about illegal immigrants in a magazine this morning. It saddens me that these people risk their lives for "freedom", then once they're here, they cannot find decent jobs (for obvious reasons) and the jobs they DO find, they are treated so poorly. Some agencies even take most of their paycheck as payment for finding them a job. They only average at $2.10 an hour (and that's the high end of the scale). These illegal immigrants contribute more than $7 million dollars in taxes a year.
A lot of people would argue they should be shipped back home. Maybe that's true, but the ones already here, already allowed to stay, who are willing to work their fingers to the bone to make a buck...can't they be given a better chance? A hope for their future and the future of their family? Most of them just want to make money to send home, and to eventually return home themselves to buy a house and remain in their country.
Yes...I know. I could go on for hours. Blah, blah, blah.
