HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY
I was out of books, so I went to the bookstore. I bought red sand by paul mc auley, who I don't know at all, the king's assassin by robin hobb because a friend of mine told me she liked it a lot, and... DECLARE by TIM POWERS !! I didn't even know it was out yet... I have been waiting for years for a new Tim Powers book. His first book is amongst my fave sci fi books I think. Hope you all tried at least one of his novels.
There is a rule in marketing or webdesign that says that the customer will eventually always choose the worst option you give him. Like, you show him 3 options for a website (which is my case) and he ALWAYS take the third one, the worst one, the one you show him to say "see I've made 3 different design, I worked hard on it". Of course, this option is OBVIOUSLY not wise or nice to take, it is so obvious to everyone that you're almost ashamed to present it, but no. That is the one he wants. Against all odds, against all what you have been taught, against all logics, he takes the crappy design. And that's what your work is in the end, crappy. That's the reason why I don't have an online gallery of my work yet. I am so tired of it... And no, I don't have the time to make 3 elegant, smart, amazing designs - mostly because I'm too lazy and not creative enough. So there. Doing crappy sites again. Luckily, visiting SG saves my day everytime.
