Watched a movie called "the secretary".
Was a bit reluctant about renting it because of the jacket, which made me think the movie would be basically about a woman rotten by ambition and ready to fuck everything that moves for her career. Well, it's much more interesting than that. Most people would say it's about BDSM stuff. But the direction, the acting, the photography and everything else is more subtle than that, I think. It was a tricky subject, which could have made a lot of movies trashy and superfical, but it was more elegant and deep than that. I would say it's almost as suprising, in a good way, than Punch Drunk Love. If you saw one of those, see the other as well. If you didn't see any, see both.

The social and economic situation here is getting worse and worse every day. I'm pretty concerned about what this country - France - will become. But what can you expect from a republican government and from 60% people voting republican or neo-nazi mmh ? I can't see any nice place to flee to on this planet right now. Scary, really scary. There had been a time where things could have been better, but a few people messed it all up. After all this time we're only barbarians, all of us. If an alien race discovers earth tomorrow I hope they fry us all and give the planet to ants or whales or whatever.
