At the request of my shrink, I made a list of 10 things I like about myself. When I finished, I felt both elated and puzzled. I larded it on pretty heavy, I mean, but I believe firmly in each point and would even argue for their overall truthfulness. So, I don't understand how I can't display enough truth, beauty, and skill to entice anyone to go ahead and drop the act and tell me what they really want in positive terms. If possible, I'd prefer simple declarative sentences. I don't kid myself that I ask a lot of people in this regard, but I offer an awful lot in the bargain.
