I got a good performance review and a raise in loot at work. Sadly the only other raises I've gotten have been from girls who seem to want to use me for some harmful purpose rather than simply using me for our mutual pleasure. Why else would anyone simultaneously try to draw closer to me and also try to make me feel bad about being old? Perhaps they've picked up the seduction tactic, but deploy it ineffectively with regard to me. I always have a hard time accepting that anyone would devote any amount of attention to pillaging around in someone's head for no other reason than to cause them stress.
Forgive me for not caring much about peoples' ages, beyond the legal limits for various activities. I feel a bit weird that I don't know more people my own age (when I think about it), but the social network I've found consists of people in their early to mid-twenties, due to my current roommate. I doubt anyone much thinks about introducing me to their older female friends, although that wish has crossed my mind frequently. I wouldn't feel entirely comfortable asking, based on my past experience of weird reactions to the request.
