so after spending god knows how much on kitty toys, scooter has decided the most stimulating of toys is the steel scrubber i used to clean my horse equipment. he has spent the last 5 hours with it, rolling around on it, carrying it around, and sleeping with it. although his brother beans plays fetch with the little spongy balls, he is also quite fond of q-tips. so if i never bought them kitty toys, would they still think these common household products were so entertaining? i should get two more kittens and conduct a very scientific anthropology experiment giving the new kittens no toys at all, and leave them to find their own. if my mom yells at me for getting more cats i can say it's for purely educational purposes. you can look for the results to be published in scientific american sometime in late summer...
