I'm in Austin for the summer....playing music and getting tan.
I'm amazed that people down here are so willing to strike up a conversation with a stranger. That's good for me. But i wonder how they know i'm from out of town? Especially when most of my cool new york clothes are lost in the mail right now.
I left a piece of chocolate cake in my car last night and it melted everywhere, forming rich bizarre swirls on the front seat. This must be some strange metaphor for my experience here. If you can figure out how, let me know and i'll write a poem about it.
