Happy 4th of July!!!!
Had a really good time this year. Went up to the Baltimore Harbor instead of DC this year. My parents came down to visit for the weekend and we met up with some online friends of mine at the Fuddrucker's. I'd met two of them before on many occasions, but the other guy and his wife and kids I hadn't. It's always interesting meeting people you've associated with over the internet for a while. Some turn out exactly as you expect them, and other times they're a complete shock to you.
We sat on the stone railing outside McCormick & Schmick's (sp?) and had a great view of the fireworks going off both out in the harbor and near the piers. It was also the 150th anniversary of the USS Constitution so there were 8 Tall Mast ships in dock from around the world, which was pretty cool. After the fireworks were over, ALL the ships in the harbor started blowing their horns and it was echoing all over the place. Was a AWESOME sound!
Don't know where I'll be going next year for the 4th. But at least now I've been to both big city displays and know that they're both great!
