Yep, the missus was thinking of a tin, she remembers all the shops on the Royal Mile were selling them. I was looking at the swords at the time whatever I have a 11th Century Spanish style broadsword which should be admirable for hunting critters, with the added bonus that the pommel doubles as a club. That should do the trick? smile

Hey Prep,

Best of everything with your shop, man. I kind of wish I was independent right now, but it's probably just the workload talking. whatever

Well, my vacation was rather limited, and kind of worked against me. Being that I am stationed in Korea right now, I'm only alloted 30 days of leave, max, even if I had more saved up. So, I chose to go see my family and friends in Charleston, South Carolina, after I was done with my "best man" gig at my friend's wedding.

Charleston (and the ladies living there) was great, I had a blast seeing old friends and loved ones, alike. Unfortunately, the War On Terrorism is also waging a War On Phoebus, as there were no (free) military aircraft to take me back west. I waited in vain for an extra week to see if I could finally get a free flight home, and then had to suck it up and pay $500 for a ticket to Seattle. Unfortunately, I had to wait an EXTRA week on top of that for tickets to drop under $1,000.

So, I got back, was greeted with tons of fucking work, and had to deal with the fact that I wasn't having any fun in Thailand/New Zealand later on in the year. frown

So far, I have dealt with this by working 14 hours, drinking 5 hours, and sleeping 5 hours. I am pleased to report steady progress, and some level of joy at being more than half way through my commitment here.

Well, I'm just rambling on, so I'll go ahead and break for now...I'll zap you some good stories later on.

Crunchy nut are the best ones indeed. Not to sure about the comparisons to old mans feet though, I've always managed to avoid nibbling an archaic geezers plates of meat. For which I am very thankfull of course.
