The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was a pretty accurate movie. Very rarely does a movie sum up not only the main themes and iconic moments from a book, but the emotional experience of reading the book as well. For me, both the book and the movie were intellectually pleasing but left me physically bored and with a slight taste of copper in my mouth (no reference, just calling it as it is). I dunno, but I imagine that this feeling must be very similar to actually being British.
