First: a complaint. Is it not Monday, or as I think of it, webcomic day? Why haven't all my comics updated. Only dinosaur comics and overcompensating didn't let me down. I know the others will be up eventually but we live in an instant gratification world and I'm an instant gratification girl.

Went home again this weekend after the double week from hell. Last week I pulled all nighters 3 out of 5 days er nights er whatever. The week before wasn't much better due to two tests and enough other stuff to keep me busier than a preist at a boyscout meeting. This week should be better though.

Back to this weekend. Um, Silent Hill any one? I mean, right? Well, I can't say this aloud so:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Barbed wire tentacle rape! Holy shit! I mean, it couldn't of happened to a nicer lady but still. BARBED FUCKIN WIRE TENTACLE RAPE! Was the MPAA sleeping? On matresses made from bribery money? Well thank goodness they got a good night's sleep because I want this movie to do well.

Anywho, if you haven't seen this movie go see it. You might want to bring a controller though, it'll make the whole experience FEEL more natural. I'm not going to say anything else other than it was a successful and unique cinematic experiment ( your first experience with this movie should be pure and with as little bias from me as possible). Let's just say we've come a long way since the Super Mario Brothers movie. (Mojo Nixon played Toad in that? I had no idea.)

A more complete journal later but for now I must go meet with my teacher who I think might hate me. frown

EDIT: Tycho just slammed my opinion of Silent Hill over at Penny-Arcade. I take it as no personal slight of course, but it still stings. Like he was harvesting a field of wheat with a sardonic scythe and fell me without even being cognisant of my existence. I would still take stalk in my opinions of other subjects though. It's funny. Gabe and Tycho didn't like the movie b/c it was too simple and most the people I overheard in the theatre didn't like it b/c it was too complex. I guess the movie really was for people like me, laid back optimists who like to enjoy things.

EDITED AGAIN: Well, who enjoy things like people getting murdered in grotesque and interesting ways. That kind of laid back optimist. (?)

haha, cute. I wouldn't trust my dad near my hair, though! I'm not sure he knows how to operate scissors and he has shakey hand syndrome
