geekiness... it makes me so happy.
i just ordered two bumper stickers... one says, 'got root?' and the other, 'LNX'
and i also got an interactive tshirt... i was like huh? wifi detector shirt
it would be really cool if it showed the SSID...
yesterday i bought an electric weed eater. I was so tired of pulling in the driveway and seeing the shape of the yard compared to all the neighbors. and there's a section in the back yard where weeds grow like mad... it used to be a flower bed... it's not attached to the rest of the yard. meaning... there's a deck and patio and such so just mowing them over is an even bigger pain. so i ended up getting 5 bags of mulch. some for that little weed haven. and some for the front yard. where there's this decorative rock (that we put our jack o lantern on last year) and some palms and shit. weeds grow here too... so i spread out some mulch... it's the kind that "prevents weeds naturally' and by that, i'm guessing no light no air... suffocation.. idk.
but i started doing all of this around 6. (had to go to liquor barn and get a bottle of woodford reserve to give to the friend who took me to see dylan). started with the weed eating.. and sweat my ass off. poured the mulch in the weed haven and thats when i decided to go get the other 2 bags for the front yard. so around 9 i cut the front yard to even it up with the neighbors and then started pulling weeds from the walkway deco rock area. i was spreading mulch until about 1130... and i'm still not done... i actually think i need to go get at least another 3 bags. but its starting to look so much better already.
next i need to get some hedging sheers and trim the bushes to the right front of the house..i'm actually needing to get the neighbor out and tell me what was planted and whats just overgrown.. there's some sort of ground covering shit all over the place over there... i'd rather just get 6 bags of mulch and get rid of it all.. but it's not my house... perhaps the landlord would know better)
went out and smoked a cigarette to inspect the work i did after dark...really does look nicer. but damn its so hot already. supposed to get up to 91 today. and i can't stand working on yard stuff in shorts... i like to keep myself really covered. oh well thats all for now.
