Well the first week of the new year is over, and my god it's been a struggle. I can't remember ever having such a rough start to a year and it has been said that putting too much value is commercial anomalies like this can have dire consequences. DOH!
During the first hour of 2011 I managed to feel beyond ill from drinking Baileys and drop my phone in a pint of juice, bringing to an end its long drawn out life (been that it has been through so much i'm suprised it was not already dead - being flushed down a toilet being the worst before this). I lost all my photos from Christmas and new year so there will be no pics as promised
Apart from that, over the next few days, all those little things that could go wrong did and after 4 days I was beginning to wonder whether someone had put a new years curse on me.
Thankfully come Wednesday I managed to salvage some happiness with a trip to Bromley with Anonwhymous where I finally cracked and traded in my old tent of a coat in for a new snazzy black one and ended my contract early for a new Blackberry on a cheaper but much better contract with O2. The best part of this being that I saved over 45 by taking advice from the store manager so I did not have to pay out a bulk some to end my contract 5 months early.
It has been rough, I have been in London now since the 21st of December and I am living out of a suitcase but there are more smiles than I could have imagined so its worth it
As well as having to buy all those things you never know you need until you need them I have had to cope with uni work...having my flatmate email over files and finding memory sticks to store them one..and editing from screen instead of printed sheets which I hate! I like the pen and paper age...is that weird?
Anyways, all is well and quite relaxing now as I sit with a cat on my feet and music in the background working on my community project for next semester, it will be a SUCCESS!!! I hope no one thinks I have been anti-social over the Christmas break, between loosing everyones numbers on my phone and not having alot of internet time,I have been a bit quiet but HAVE NO FEAR I am still alive
Time to log off I think and carry on with my work...
