Okay, here's something I'm excited about. Last week I got the prototype of the traycase for the Lettered Edition of the Brian Lumley book that I published recently, and it came out gorgeous!
For those who don't know, a Lettered Edition is an expensive, deluxe, collectors' version of a book, usually in a slip case or traycase, usually bound in leather, usually signed by the author, and limited to only 26 or (as in this case) 52 copies. They are hand lettered A-Z (then AA-ZZ if there are 52), and they tend to be very sought after by book collectors. In this particular case, because of the faces on the lids, each traycase will be absolutely unique.
I put the pictures up on my website and mentioned it on a few message boards, and I've already started getting more orders for it. Right now, I have fewer than a dozen copies left available!
If you're not into books, or specifically horror books, this might not mean anything to you, but I'm thrilled as all hell!! The traycase came out looking better than I'd hoped; I'm thrilled with the artist, Melissa Smith (http://www.grichels.com/). She's done a fantastic job!
