Today is a good day. I just won a charity auction on eBay for a guitar Trent Reznor played (and then smashed) at the London Ontario show this spring. It's autographed by the entire Nine Inch Nails band - Trent, Aaron North, Josh Freese, Jeordie White, and Alessandro Cortini. The proceeds of the auction go to a Hurricane Katrina relief organization in New Orleans, a city very near and dear to Trent's heart, since he lived there many years.

I attended the London concert and took video of most of the show, and of course it shows him playing what's now my guitar! :} There were three other guitars up for auction from the Spring tour, but this one was in the best shape and was from a show I attended, so I had to have this exact one!

Some sniper tried to nab the guitar from me with 30 seconds left to go in the eBay auction. In this time period he/she pushed the bidding up by more than $300. Thankfully, I expected this to happen, so I was prepared, and had pushed my maximum bid much higher a few minutes prior. So, it's mine!



I've already had a fellow NIN fan ask if they can drop by now and then and 'caress' it... lol.

Good times.... I'm so excited about this. It's definitely a memento I will cherish forever, and it's going to look perfect on the living room wall. What a conversation piece!!
