When I really sit and think about what fictional characters have really resonated with me, it is hard not to think about childhood crushes. As far I can remember the first crush I ever had was Rouge from Xmen.
My first exposure to the character was in the 90s Xmen animated series. She was so Bad Ass and her costume left nothing to the imagination. It certainly helped that she had a raspy voice and a hunky boyfriend. I was obsessed for a little while there. I got all the comics that were Rogue heavy and had so many action figures!
I think what makes her such an attractive character is that her back story so fascinating. She goes through being a villain with Mystique before she finds herself with the Xmen. She is more than your average perfect super hero, I love her depth and her mystery.
