In 1998 I was 9 years old. My parents had been divorced for 6 years already and they both wanted to take me to my first concert. My Mom went with something she thought I would love and my Dad picked something he thought would be very cool for a first concert. This is my First concert blog of Homeowrk @missy and @rambo
On July 4th, 1998 I went to see the Spice Girls on the Spiceworld Tour at Darien Lake (which is a six flags park near my hometown)
On November 28th, 1998 I went to see KISS on the Psycho Circus Tour at the War Memorial Arena here in Rochester.
Both of my parents were right in their choices for me. In truth I enjoyed myself more at the Spice Girls concert, singing along and watching my idols dance on stage was so amazing. It was also very cool to have my cousin there along with me, we always played Spice Girls together. I would be Scary and she would always be Sporty.
I do LOVE that I got to see KISS at such a young age. It was incredible to see there cool effects and wild show. It was so different than anything I could have imagined I would see there. I know it fostered my love of theatrics for sure.
I went to many MANY more rock concerts after and a few more pop concerts before I phased out of that genre. I absolutely love seeing live music!
Some of my favorite concerts have been: Greenday, Soul Coughing, The Flaming Lips (2x), Cradle of Filth, Panic at the Disco (they have awesome dancers) and years and years of Oz Fests and Warped Tours
