Set Themes

I am getting ready to shoot to sets to hopefully come out in the summer and I'm trying to think of interesting themes that aren't super played out. some ideas I have had are:

~ Science Fiction, with all of my favorite futuristic novels and some interesting attire

~Coloring on the wall, partially i just want an excuse to do it but i think it could look really cool.

~ I would love to do like a wolf queen in the woods type of shoot loosely based off of princess mononoke...might have to wait for the snow to melt first though

~420, I am sure it would be fun but it might be a bit played out.

any thoughts? What kind of sets do you like better: ones with very loose themes or ones with something going on? Outside or inside? Bedroom or elsewhere? I guess I need to get a little bit more of a feel for what you guys like, I want to know what I can improve on next time.

I'm all about themes.  I like to see a bit of a story through the set.  I don't just look at the girls I look at everything as well.  Location, moving to different spots or standing/sitting in one spot for every picture.

I like the themes. I am ALL ABOUT your use of color in your sets and pics. The coloring on the wall idea? Yeah. Go with that. Get messy with it. The Princess Mononoke inspired set piques my interest, too. I'm in love with outdoor sets and shower/wet sets. Just make sure there's not ~too~ much going on, you want to be sure to remain the centerpiece of the set... but let the surrounds touch you, if that makes sense. Be a part of your environment and let it interact with you, and the other way around. I hope that's helpful.
